can someone help me figure out how to apply for a uk spousal

This is gonna sound ridiculous but I cant for the life of me figure out how to apply for the VISA4UK (settlement visa). Iam a canadian and I currently reside in Edmonton Iam now married to my british husband and Iam dying to get over there with my visa, however I cant seem to figure it out mainly because I have found a great site wich offers me to be able to apply online and pay all online.......... BUT .......... I have read all sorts of other things about needing to send in loads of proof of our relationship and marriage wich is awsome and we have organized everything we need to do so , but if Iam applying online then how are they gonna get all my other proof??? Iam also having a hell of a time trying to find out where to do theses biometrics and weather I need to send it off to them as well..............but wait how am I sending it off if I applied online??? see what I mean Iam just so fed up and confused, and I know talking to someone on the phone wont be helpful either I would love to other peoples stories who have been there and done this

Once you have submitted you info online, you will need to attend an appointment where you will have to bring all your documentation and biometrics information. Just follow the instruction online when you finish you application.
