Can you start a consulting business to move to the US?

I'm going to be starting a consulting business in the near future and the business would have a lot of promise in the state of Florida.

When I'm financially able to make the move, can I move down perminently with my business or do I still need to have a temporary visa?

Can I hire US citizens to work for me and my company and do I need to fill out special paperwork in order to hire them?

I know a long time ago, you could move to the US perminently if you had a business that employed Americans, is this still the case?

To staer a business in US, you would need an E2 visa.

You can find information about e2 visa of some websites. Just search them or if you want try to consult at the embassy about your situation.

You can start company in Delaware which allow anyone to start the company without disclosing information. So you do not visa to start the company. i did in the past. Though you cannot withdraw money. But you can get paid by dividend. Please check delaware incorporation website.

If you need to employee in other state you EIN number for each state. I had one employee in NY and got over the phone.

This would not get you legal status in US, since you cannot self-sponsor your work status.
That is why E2 is needed.

Starting a US registered business is not amn immigration status.
