Canada Day in London

Post Mon May 29, 2006 1:45 pm

I guess I am the only non-canadian on this site but am quite inclined to the canadian culture etc.and am also considering moving to BC one day so would be nice to meet some people from the place itself! I was also part of the last year's Canada Day celebrations on Maiden Lane and despite the crowds I am definitely going back this year. So if you fancy joining me or if I can join you I very much look forward to hearing from you :) twinkle

Heya Twinkle,

Considering Canada? Join the queue with the rest of the British mass exodus! Only joking.

I'm a Vancouverite myself, currently living in London but working down in West Sussex (and likely relocating down there in July). It's not bad over here, but much of BC (and Vancouver in particular) has a great vibe.

If you haven't already, I would highly recommend travelling over and checking it out before making the plunge! The housing market is start to get very overheated out there, so bring your bank notes with you.

Cheers.

Most likely. I know a small handful of Canucks over here, so it's a good excuse to meet up and get hammered.

Might even take in some of the Friday festivities at Trafalgar Square as well.

Hey Twinkles,

Welcome to the board and happy to hear you are thinking of emigrating to our home and native land.

It seems all my mates made here in the UK are now moving over. maybe it's something I said? :)

Anywho, hope you make it down on the 30th or 1st to take in Canada Day.

Cheers,

Scootter
