Canada Day London this year?

Post Sat Jun 09, 2007 3:35 am

After the Soccer and Gay Pride clashing last year, the Cops stopped us partying outside the Maple Leaf.
We had a good shin dig in Covent Garden all the same.
Singing Fraggle Rock and generally having a good laugh.
What are everyones plans this year?

I'm hoping the Maiden Lane thing is on again this year. I just finished convincing a bunch of people "No, no, they won't cancel it again! Come on down and party with us."

There is no Maiden Lane thing. They aren't allowed to do it anymore.

The Met are such tools sometimes. Well, all the time really.

Since I'm not going to take a day off work to celebrate on the wrong day, does anyone else have plans?

I'm wary of booze cruises. If you find you're not really getting the vibe, it's a bit late to get off.

The Hope on Wandsworth Common has Sleeman Honey Brown on tap and gives plastic cups for taking onto the Common. If the weather's nice, I'll be there with a bbq. That's my plan.

I am for sure checking out this cruise thing, was gonna head to the maple leaf, but i heard they are closing it after a certain number of people and it opens at like 10am or something. The cruise (as long as the weather is nice) should be good times! I'm doin it alone so if anyone wants to meet up that would be great!
