I've got a question for anyone who may know.

I extended my stay in the US (within legal limits), and should be getting married within the next few months.
I have a huge stress hanging over my head though. If anyone could help me with some insight, that would lighten the burden.
My ex-wife with whom I have 2 kids, has threatened to get legal counsel for child support against me. I don't understand that since I pay the amount I am supposed to pay and am current and on time. ANYWAY, if I am down in the US, and I keep my whereabouts anonymous to her, can she create any difficulty for me from Canada?

yep, she sure can! If there is a legal custody agreement and you are legally required to pay support and if you skip the country, this could cause you all kinds of trouble.

Find yourself a family lawyer to discus your options.

What kinds of trouble? She doesn't know where I am, and that was intentional in the case that she would try to make things difficult for me. I just want to be able to live my life and not have things made difficult for me. Like I said, my responsibilities and obligations are lived up to.

It all really depends on your custody and support agreement. This is a legal obligation, and as such, you should speak with a lawyer to find out what could or could not happen.

If you make arrangements with Maintenance Enforcement so that your child support payments are directly deposited into her account, what can she possibly do? That's what controlling ex's do.it's quite alright for them to move on with their lives, they don't want you but they don't want you to have anyone or want to be happy. Consult with a lawyer Rick, doesn't cost much or you might be able to find an attorney that offers free consultations. I am in the process of going thru Maintenance Enforcement so I don't have to deal with my ex knowing anything else.
