Canadian Citizen living in the US

If we travel or live abroad, we usually come back to visit right? Here's a the place to meet other "re-pats" and Canadians who have returned.

Canadian Citizen living in the US

Post Sat Oct 08, 2011 5:32 pm

Hi,

I am a Canadian citizen but I live in the US.
I want to spend the summer working in Canada. Will I have to pay a significant amount of taxes on anything I make when I return to the US?
Or, does anyone know where I can find out info like this? I'm lost!!!

Thanks!

forums.serbinski.com
You will pay Cdn tax on the Cdn wages, and report the wages in US (there may be some little extra tax in US).
This site is a travel site and not best source for these topics:
TN and TD info: http://forums.immigration.com/forumdisp ... -TN-Status
For US/Cdn taxes and SS/CPP:forums.serbinski.com/index.php
US Marriage-based Immigration: visajourney.com
