Canadian citizen, UK fiance, trying to live in Germany

Hello,

I have a weird situation and am looking fro ANY help.

I am 21, so is my fiance. We plan to get married in Canada, in August 2011. He is British and I am Canadian, we met in Germany in 2009 while I was doing a working holiday, and he was doing an internship. He has a job offer for September 2011, we both have basic knowledge of German.

Since he is from England, he has no problem working/living in Germany...but being a non-EU citizen I am curious as to how easily I can join him? Will I be able to work? Will it matter that we have not lived together (due to immigration issues) when we plan on living in Germany together?
