Canadian citizenship regulations?

Post Thu Jan 03, 2008 3:36 pm

Hi everyone, I'm a dual citizenship holder (Canadian/Polish). Three years ago I moved to Poland to start a business and haven't been back to Canada yet.this year I finally plan to go back and visit my family in Toronto for a week or two. But I've heard rumors that there is a minimum number of days/weeks I have to stay in Canada before going back abroad.otherwise my Canadian citizenship will get revoked. Is there any truth to that? thx

No, they do not revoke your citizenship. The only way you could lose your Canadian citizenship would be for you to renounce it yourself, which requires a whole load of paperwork to be submitted to Ottawa. Or if Poland declared war on Canada and you joined their army and stormed Parliament Hill.
