Canadian Corporation & Departure tax

Post Tue May 01, 2012 3:24 am

I'm an incorporated contractor in Canada. I have the opportunity to work in the US as an employee
on a TN1 visa. I have quite a bit of funds sitting in my corp. account. What I would like to do is work in US for a couple years(or longer) and leave the corp dormant(and funds untouched) while I'm in the states. I would also like to file a departure return(departure tax?) so that I do not have to file canadian taxes. Is this possible to do?

Thanks

Yes but the answer was not very clear so I asked it here hoping that someone else could answer it a bit more specifically.

Thanks
