Canadian currently living outside canada

Post Sat Jan 09, 2010 7:30 am

hi,
I am a Canadian citizen, currently living in India. My spouse (Permanent resident of Canada) works in India. I have a Canadian bank account and credit card. I am planning to apply for TN visa for Pharmacy internship (9 months). From other posts, I understood that it is not a requirement to have a house or bank account in Canada.

Do I have to show some kind of proof of my Permanent address in India? (like Bank account statement from India )

There is no need to show ties in any foreign country to get a TN.

A bank statement however, would not be sufficient proof of residence, if proof were required. Utility bills, lease, etc would be the standard.
