Canadian Divorce in USA


Hi I am a Canadian Citizen living in USA just got divorce do i have to register my divorce in CANADA also wants to get married to US citizen is that's going to be any problem. Thanks

I don't think you should have to notify anyone in Canada unless you still have property or fiancial ties like RRSPs or something like that with your former spouse listed as beneficiary.

Getting re-married shouldn't be a problem. Depending on where you live, you may or may not be required to show proof of previous divorce in order to be issued the marriage license. Check with the licensing office where you're getting married.
