I got married to an American in in Canada August. We moved to South Korea and haven't decided which country we will end up living in (probably Canada). We will continue to live in South Korea for the next few years before file the proper papers for spousal immigration.

The details: This winter we are planing to VISIT family for a couple weeks in America, then going to Canada to VISIT there for a couple weeks then flying back to our temporary home in South Korea.

MY QUESTIONS: Will I have problems entering the US being a spouse of an American? Will my American husband have problems entering Canada for a visit? Do I need any special papers? Am I going to be flagged and hassled and potentially miss connecting flights? I'm so worried about our holiday. I've been looking and can't seem to find an answer out there.

If anyone has any information about this PLEASE let me know. Thank you so much.

I can't see why tehre would be any problems - you're not doing anything illegal. You'll probably just get a few more questions. It might be wise to bring proof of marriage (though I doubt you'd need it) or maybe proof of employment since that seems to be what the US is most worried about - people showing up and taking jobs.

Anyways those are just a few thoughts. I think you'll be alright!

Proof that you're both living in South Korea should help. If your address in your passport says S. Korea, it shouldn't be a problem. You're just visiting family for the holidays. Same for him when entering Canada.
