Canadian Expatriates – We Need You!

We are two faculty members and researchers at York University, Toronto, studying Canadian professional expatriates in the mining/engineering sectors.

This research builds on our previous research on professional expatriates in other sectors and is funded by the Canadian government.

We are particularly interested in finding out why you decided to expatriate, what have been your experiences of being an expatriate (good and bad) and the impact on your family/friends etc.

Interviews can be conducted in person (in Abu Dhabi 24th May-2nd June and Australia January 2010) or by telephone/skype (anytime).

If you need any further information about the project don’t hesitate to get in touch – the interview process isn’t onerous and lasts only about 45 mins, in fact people we have interviewed so far enjoy it (how often do you get the chance to talk solely about yourself?).
