Canadian Gifts

Post Thu Aug 07, 2008 11:41 pm

Any ideas on gifts from Canada to bring to Australia for my new in-laws whom I have not meet in person? Something "Canadian"?
Thanks for any suggestions.

How about some neat inukshuk items. Also status of moose, loons, bears, and other canadian animals.
Can also bring the usual maple candies or syrup.
Stuff like that.

When I was overseas, I always found that photos or paintings of the Canadian landscape went over very well. At the cheaper end this could be in calendar form, but could range up through art or photography books to an actual painting (hard to transport, though). John

Thanks for the ideas guys, I think after some thought I will take the suggestion of cherieboberrry1 and take a Mountie, perhaps I could get him to serve them poutine;-)
Cheers,
Christy
