Reba,
I have decided that I would like to fly back 2 NY using a one way ticket... would purchasing a one-way plane ticket impose any issues or is it ok to purchase the one way and indicate at the border that Ill be taking the bus on my return home?..... Also if i ultimately do decide to take the rental car back to NY with my bf on the 28th, and I tell the border Ill be staying with a friend... despite my presence in my bf's rental car... will they permit me to cross with my friends address in NY which I will be staying at ... also he is coming back on the 28th of dec... would my 6mnths still be renewed... or is it more likely 2 be renewed if i come back on Jan. 1st?

One way tickets are always a red flag at customs. If you don't have a return ticket and no ties to home, as you don't, then you are more likely to be denied entry.

I'm sorry, I'm so confsed by all your plotting and scheming I just don't know how to answer your next dozen questions.

I do believe I have given you ample information for you to make an educated decision. Now its up to you to figure out what to do. I can't tell you what to do, nor can I tell you what any border official is going to say or do to you when you get there.

If you return after January frst, technically your slate is cleaned and you have another 6 months to play with. If you come back before that, I really have no idea.
