Canadian Hunting Guide Working in the US

Post Sun Feb 24, 2008 2:12 pm

My name is Jim and I am a hunting guide that is looking to work in the USA, as I curently work in Canada. I am just wondering what I would need in order to do so and how to get it. I have read about a working visa but couldnt find anything about using one of these to work as a hunting guide. I apologies if this topic has been covered before but I am not the best with computers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Jim

You'd have a lot of difficulty getting any sort of work visa, if you're self-employed the best bet would be one of the investor categories, but even that would be tricky. Failing that I think you're looking at finding a company in the US that would sponsor you for EB-3, but there is a huge backlog. Finding a sponsor in the US would also be hard.

Americans like coming up here, Alberta is trying very hard at the moment to get more hunters because of the growth in the deer population, maybe you could get a job out here?
Steve.
