Canadian Immigration Problems

Post Mon Sep 10, 2007 8:43 am

My girlfriend from Mexico tried to
visit me (SEPT. 8/2007) in
Montreal, Quebec. I am a Canadian
citizen in Montreal and was waiting
for her at the airport for almost
2 hours before they finally let her
call me. She was absolutely
horrified with what was going on.
I was in shock listening to her cry
.They searched through all her
belongings.She told me they didn't
even want
to here what she had to say and
yelled at her "You're going back to Mexico.you can't come into Canada." Treating her like a criminal, they also handcuffed her and searched her
vigorously. I used the immigration
phone in the airport and the woman
was very impatient and even raised
her voice at me saying "She's
being deported!" Apparently she
needed a "Temporary Residence Visa"
They would not let
me see her and took her to a
detention center in a van like they
use for hardcore criminals with
locks everywhere, before her flight
the next morning at 8am. We both
had looked into details of any
requirements she needed before
coming to Canada just to visit for
a month and immigration people on
both sides said "just to visit she
doesn't need anything". She is
completely and utterly traumatized by trying to come to Canada.

People wishing to obtain Immigration to Canada are required to have a valid visa. Choose the Canadian Immigration category that best matches your needs, and complete the Online Canadian Immigration eligibility assessment to see if you qualify. Oasis Immigration Network will also help you to navigating the Canadian Immigration System, which is a FREE service to immigration applicants. This includes FREE initial assessment for immigration applicants. This free assessment is accompanied by a direct connection to a government approved consultant
