Canadian in US applying for UK Ancestry... HELP!

Hello everyone,

I first want to say thanks for reading my post. I have found this forum very helpful applying for my visa. I am in the US and have applied for the UK Ancestry Visa. My biometrics appointment was Oct. 18th. I sent all my documents to the British Consulate in Los Angeles, and I have proof from Fedex saying they signed for it yesterday (Oct. 19th). I have yet to receive a email saying they have my documents. Does anyone know how long they take to email you back? And does anyone have an idea how long till i will have my Passport and Visa back in my hand? I have 2 separate jobs lined up, but they need to hire someone asap. I am also worried that since it is Thanksgiving here in the US next week it will delay my application.

Just a update... I received a email this past Monday (23rd of November) saying they had received my documents and we working on my application.
