Canadian in US for a year with Passport wanting to work

Hi I came to the US a year ago. 6 months ago I sent for my child who is now enrolled in school here, I have been living residing here with my bf this whole time. I came over with my passport expecting that I was going to go back to Canada after the 6 months however things changed. I want to be able to find a job here and work legally I do not have any degrees or anything like that just have community college in the area of administration, and accounting, and have worked mostly in call centers and reception. I do not want to marry my bf just yet,
looking for any information as to living and working legally in the US without having to go back to Canada and risk not being able to come back.

pretty much ur only option is MARRY and then adjust of status (AOS) Have to be married to AOS.
