Canadian inheritance while resident of Mexico?

I am a Canadian citizen but have lived in Guanajuato, Mexico for many years as a permanent resident. I will inherit a fairly sizable estate eventually in Canada. What is the situation with cross border taxation between Canada and Mexico? I would prefer to keep the money in a Canadian bank. Will I have to pay inheritance taxes in Mexico, even if I keep the money in Canada? Will I have to pay taxes in Canada on interest generated in the Canadian bank? How does it work inheriting an estate in Canada while not being a resident of Canada?
