Canadian jobs online?

Hi Everyone,

I am a Canadian currently living in Minnesota with my American husband. We have filed all applicable paperwork but are waiting for my interview in order to be accepted (or denied, hopefully not!) as a permanent resident and give me my work permit.

At the moment I do not work, however I was wondering if there was a way to work online with a Canadian based company? Maybe doing something like Data Entry? I still have my Canadian bank account and would work in Canadian funds. I tried searching Monster and the other job bank websites but no luck. Has anyone heard of this?

Legally, you cannot work while in the US without an employment authorization document (EAD). Even if you're working for a Canadian company, and paid in Canadian dollars. As long as you are on US soil, you can't work without the EAD.

Did you apply for EAD when you sent in your AOS stuff? You could have, and they usually only take up to 90 days to process, rather than have to continue to wait the several months for the AOS.
