If your already married, the CR-1 takes anywhere from 6 months to a yr, but i do believe as of late, it has been picking up speed

only place in canada that does CR-1 interviews is montreal

for the k1,its either Montreal or vancouver. Manitoba and west goto Van.

READ THEM! and READ THEM!! No1 cares more about ur situation then YOU!! Its fairly simple, no need for a lawyer 99% of the times,they do not speed it up. You stil have to fetch the police background search, long form birth cert any divorce paperwork, etc We used a very good lawyer---had not found VJ----$2500 plus filings! rather spent that $$ on a holiday,lol take some time and READ. There is also a CANADA forum on VJ where many Canucks hang out. VJ used to be a lot more social but many us regulars have moved on, people are still nice, just not as busy. And YES YOU CAN STILL visit--a ZILLION questions are asked on that each week,lol do a search and you will find the answer,lol Best of luck
