Canadian marrying U.S citizen

Post Fri Sep 16, 2011 1:42 pm

I know this question has been asked before, but I am still not sure of the logistics of everything. I am planning on marrying a U.S. Citizen and he will be moving here. We will get married in Canada, but then, what happens? Can he go back to the U.S to finish up things there and come back to live in Canada permanently? How difficult is it? Will he have problems crossing the border after we are married? Is it better for him to just wait and apply here when he can permanently live here, or does it matter? Someone advised us that its better for him to apply after we are married, but use his U.S. address, to speed things up. There just doesn't seem to be clear answers! :)
