Canadian musician working temporarily in France-Visa?

Hi!
I'm going to be doing some shows in France this summer. Can someone tell me if I need a temporary work visa/permit and where I should get it from? I'm only in France for 2 months. I tried the Canada Council website but they only have info for foreigners working in Canada and not vice-versa, from what I could see.
