Canadian Passport in the UK

Can anyone help? I have run out of blank pages in my Canadian Passport and I live in the UK. I was told last week in Brussels that I need to get more blank pages or I won't be allowed back into the UK! I have e mailed the Canadian High Commision in London but they need 28 days to respond! Has anyone had the same issue?
