Reba,

Wonder if you need to pay the postage to mail new passport back.

Did mine in 2009 and was back in my hands in less than 3 weeks. I mailed it to Canada (from Virginia) via snail mail. Some send it priority with tracking,

Hi all,

Anybody have experience with Canadian Passport Photos in Central Indiana?

Last renewal, I had them taken while I was visiting family in Ontario...this time I didn't think ahead :( Lesson learned....

Thank you in advance!

PS: I did multiple searches on this forum, I sincerely hope this hasn't already been asked/answered!

I just had my picture taken today for my passport application. I removed my glasses and I had some makeup on my skin, so there will not be a problem with oily skin. However, now I am worried, because I was not aware of the new specifications for acceptable photos. On top of that I did not receive my pictures, because some equipment was down and made arrangements to have them sent to me in the mail.
I already started my quest earlier today. I went to see the photographer in Covina, Ca. who used to take my pictures in the past, but discovered that the store went out of business. So, I came home, googled "canadian passport pictures in la" and found a place in Alhambra, CA. I drove around for 3 hours today, and I don't have my pictures yet. I dread to think that I might have to go back and repeat all this.
There is a Canadian company who would review my application for an additional 99 $, but I didn't think I was going to pay that plus the application fee, plus the cost of the photos, plus the cost of the courier fees too. This is getting to be expensive! Any encouragement?

Go to Wolf camera and let them know that you need Canadian Passport Photos. They are very familiar with the requirements. They were great and the photos were under $20.

DO NOT GO TO KINKOS!!!

Thank you very much. I went there today and took photos for my Canadian passport. They are Professional and I am so happy with the photos.

The address is:
8500 West Crestline Avenue
Littleton, CO 80123

Thanks again,

Farah

This is an update on the status of my application. First, my passport has been found after all by my host family (I lost it abroad) behind the cushion of an armchair, so I was able to include it with my application. After a request from Passport Canada to fax a detailed account of the recovery of my lost passport, they issued me my passport without further delay, and I was able to travel as scheduled. I also received a refund from the company whom I was going to hire to expedite my application process, because I decided, that I had as good a chance to get everything right as they did. That was a wise decision.

Please STAY AWAY from Sameday Passport located on Chicago Prudential Plaza 130 East Randolph St. # CL-2B Chicago,IL 60601.

I went to take Canadian Passport Photos with them. The told me that they have taken many Canadian Passport photos before. However, my photos were rejected b/c of too many glare and shadow in the background. So I called them back, the manager was quite rude and requested unfeasible proof of rejection 1) Bring the old photos back 2) Have Canadian passport Office to draft letter.

I explained to the manager that photos are kept with the Canadian passport office and will not be returns until the passport is issued. She actually asked me if i kept one of the two photos taken, obvioulsy don't know Canadian passport office require two photos. Then I explained to to her that the Canadian passport office called me instead of sending me a letter, in fact, i have also received phone calls regarding invalid photos in the past. She didn't buy that and told me no way I could have my photos re-taken without those two ridiculous requirements. So i told her forget it.

My fellow Canadians, please stay away from Sameday Passport in Chicago. Very bad services and very rude.

Good advice. Most places bend over backwards to comply, no stupid letter required. The photo they took cost them about 10c, so the y lost many customers over 10c.

That said, you know what the Cdn standards are, you needed to refuse the photo as soon as it was printed.
