Canadian RN moving to the US

Post Wed Feb 13, 2008 2:42 pm

Hello!
I will be moving to the US in August and am a Registered Nurse. I have applied for my VisaScreen, and have an offer of employment.
As there is a lot to prepare in terms of documentation before the big move, I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly - so glad I found this site!
Once I receive my VisaScreen, do I then have to apply for a TN, or does that cover the need for that? Also, to apply for a SSN, can I use the VisaScreen + Canadian Passport, or do I also need to bring a TN?
Geesh so tedious!
Thanks so much for any help, I really appreciate it :)

Hi

You will apply for your TN when you cross the border in August going to the U.S.

You will take your passport and the I94 card showing your TN Status for your Social Security.

Ensure you have the correct documentation, your TN Application letter is correctly written and you're prepared for the border interview.

Good Luck!
