Try Royal Holidays -they hire a lot but beware, you won't get paid much. I think they're located in Cancun.

Check OCC Mundial (Mexico) for job postings in Mexico. Since I'm a new member here, I'm not allowed to post the link.

You'll need a work visa and getting one is not a simple task. But if you get hired, the people you work for will probably help you with getting through the process. The visa costs around 100$ canadian. You cannot get one without an "endorsement" from your future employer (i.e. a letter stating they're ready to hire you and couldn't find a suitable mexican candidate to fill the position).

Good luck!

We are interested in staying in Mexico during the winter months in Canada.
I am 62 years of age working in the hotel industry for over 35 years. Are there any seasonal jobs in the same line i can do or some other during the winter months.
Interested in simple living, peaceful less expensive.
Not sure how many months max one can stay without losing their pension and healthcare benefits.
Would appreciate any suggestions you may have.
Is there anywhere else (Living ) that may fit the above?

Thank you

Hi Canuck,

You can stay outside of Canada for up to 6 months without any loss of benefits.

As a note, you must have excellent command of the Spanish language to work in a resort. Not having that you are wasting your time. Dont expect high salaries, depending on the position the salary is between 5,600 to 18,000. Not very high, unless you are a general manager and then the salary is upped to 30/40,000 (not much in my opinion).

You can contact:

Palace Resorts http://www.palaceresorts.com/contactus-en.html.
Iberostar http://www.iberostar.com/ES/solicitud_d ... acion.html .

RIU http://www.riu.com/es/recursos_humanos/index.jsp

Best of luck,

Lucian

Hi Chris,

Since you asked and your post was hijacked by Canuck, here are some answers to your questions.

In principle, you need a work permit. Unless you have some extraordinary skills, the company would be willing to arrange to bring you here.

Spanish is good to know, we all speak Spanish here, it is Mexico, and the official language is Spanish. Bilingualism, tri lingualism (Spanish, German, French) is highly appreciated in the tourist areas.

Check out, the website of hotels on the Rivera Maya (Riu, Palace, Iberostar, Parayso, etc) . Also, do not forget Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Loreto, as well as Acapulco, Huatulco, etc.

Hope this helps,

Lucian
