Canadian seeking Hungarian status

Hello

I'm a Canadian with Hungarian background (both my parents were born in Hungary and moved to Canada in 1956). I'm fluent in the language and would love the opportunity to spend a year or two living and working in Hungary. I'm female, aged 35 (currently living and working in New Zealand). Does anyone know who I can reach out to in order to make this happen? I heard that it might be possible to obtain a Hungarian passport if both of my parents were born there. Does anyone know if this is true and what my next steps would be?

For sure it's possible. I suggest you to contact the Hungarian Consulate, they will give you more details.
You'll have an EU citizenship too and you do not know how and when this will help you...
