Canadian student needs F visa with I-20 received

Post Tue Feb 17, 2009 5:24 pm

A Canadian student to study full time in US with I-20 received from the US university.

Other than paying Sevis fee of $ 200 in advance and I-94 fee of $ 6 while entering upto 30 days in advance, is there anything else needed?

Nope, provided you're a Canadian citizen. Obviously you need a Canadian passport or a NEXUS card.

I just did this and no, you don't need anything else.

They -might- ask for proof of financial resources that you will provide (listed on your I-20) but when I crossed, they didn't check.

Does anyone know after you submit your financial documents to the university they will be attending how long it will take to get your i-20 in the mail. I plan to send my documents next week, and am wondering if I will get my i-20 on time?
