Canadian student wishes to gain permanent USA residency

I have been studying in the usa on a F-1 Visa for 2 years. I came back for 6 months to try to attend a B.C University but didn't like it. I am leaving again to go to Nebraska to finish up my BS of Biology and pre med. I would like to get my residency to enroll at the Nebraska school of medicine and stay and practice in the USA when I am finished. I went to Nebraska to study after High school because I emt my boyfriend on line.
Any one have any information on how or if I can get my permanent residency while I am in school ?

You can only get PR status through emplyment or marriage.

You're not going to have much luck.

Thankfully, you are a student, so you can pretty well guarantee yourself a cozy home in the US legally as long as your in school with your student visa. If you get into grad school for medicine and do well (great references, research, etc) then I can't see you NOT finding employment in the US once you've finished with your M.D. Until then, like already posted, the only way you'll get PR is if you marry or find another job that will sponsor you (which is very hard to do, from personal experience).
