Hi there,

I am a first year teacher, looking to move and teach in the US in the next couple of years. I am fairly ignorant on what I need to do to prepare for this, so I'm wondering if there is someone out there who has recently moved south of the border and could give me some guidance on Visa's, qualifications etc.

We are looking at moving to a warm climate, likely California, Florida or the Carolina's.

I am technically a French and Social Studies teacher, and realize that I am unlikley to find a job teaching French in the states (although I have seen quite a few postings). Does anyone have any info about teaching French in the US? It seems to be mainly in high schools.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Kristen
