Canadian Tourist Visa

Post Sun Apr 25, 2004 1:18 am

I have 2 questions:

1) I am in US on L1A visa. My visa and I-94 are expiring on June 22, 2004.
I want to visit Canada on May 22, 2004 as a tourist for 3 days. Is my
I-94 validity for only 1 month from date of travel to Canada is any
problem in getting Canadian tourist visa? I am asking this becoz, I came to know that I-94 should be valid for 6 months for getting Canadian Tourist Visa.

2) If I am eligible for Visa, then do I need to apply for it in advance or I can directly get it on Canadian border?

I'm not sure anyone here will be able to help you since most people on this board are Canadians and don't need a visa to get into Canada.

I'm a Canadian in the US and I have no idea about your situation. I would think that if you need a visa to enter Canada then you have to do it in advance - that's my experience with tourist visas for the Czech Republic and Poland, you couldn't do it at the border.

It might help if we knew what your citizenship was?
