Canadian with American Dad needs advice

Post Thu Nov 26, 2009 4:29 pm

Hello all, I have been searching these forums for a while now and would finally like to ask a question...
I currently live in Sarnia with my family (Dad and Mom) and was wondering what my options were of potentially moving to the USA when graduated school.
My Dad was born in Flint, MI and lived there with my mom for about 2 years before I was born. I currently have a Grandmother living there still.
I am 23 years old and will be graduating University soon in Canada.
I was wondering what my options were, if any... to live and work in the USA and if my Dad being American grants me any benefits?
I know that the ideal situation would have been for them to register my birth to the USA and I would now be an American Citizen, but that did not happen...
If anyone is in a similar situation, any advice would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks all.

Thank you, I will do that... Do you think my age will have a negative impact on the process?

She may be referring to not having acted on getting her citizenship by a certain age, which is the case in some circumstANCES.

In any event, that is not going to be our call, the consulte will let you know.

go to consulate website and click 'contact'. I think you can handle it from there.

you have to make an appointment in order to be able to go into the consulate. Go to their website and find out the proper procedure.
