Canadians in Bahrain

Post Wed Oct 24, 2007 5:22 am

Hi = we arrived in Bahrain from Kitchener ON last month and looking to get in touch with Canadians living in the country. I can also give advise based on my one month experience in here. Looking forward to hearing from Canadians in Bahrain!

What's it like there? Where are you? We're looking at applying to a new place called Riffa Views.

Have a great day,

Can anyone give me the address or area for the Hope Institute for Special Education? We will be arriving in Bahrain within the next two weeks and want to hit the ground running! And if possible if anyone knows if its in a residential area? Thanks for any info sent our way!

Wow, small world. I'm from Kitchener and I was looking at Hospitality Opportunities out in Bahrain. What's it like out there? What is the cost of living like compared to back home? My Uncle is currently living in Dubai helping to work on Dubailand as he's the Food n Bev Director of Universal Studios!

Hey you guys how hard is it to find jobs there. How about renting a place to live. I have a degree in Economics and a diploma in IT. What are my chances?

Hey there
Well my advice is to apply from there and get a job offer before arriving here. Its very expensive to come on your own and then look for a job. Another problem is that the process of working visa application with relevant ministry can take time in some cases and will result in extra cost for living.
Its an ok laid-back place compared to Dubai but overall you will like it.
