So we moved to geneva last friday and so far everyone has been very kind. I thought more people would speak english but I can't complain as it is not an official language and I really should be practicing my french. A little surprised by all the graffiti and at first was concerned that we were staying in a "bad" part of town but it turns out to be universal. Prices are high, especially for dining out, but we can get around that. We compensate by eating lots of chocolate. :-&

I am canadian, and has been in the region for the last two years. Let me know if you would like to swap e-mails and chat more.

Hey, welcome.

I am in Basel working, so drop me a line if you need some Moosehead as they sell it at Basel SBB.

Wow - been here 3 weeks ! Kids are in school and enjoying things here. Such a nice easy to get around city. Now to find somewhere to live permanently.

Moved to this area about a year ago. We (husband and myself) absolutely love it. Are there any other Canadians around? Would love to find a fellow Canadian hiking buddy to further explore the Oberland region - preferrably retired (like myself). Any takers?
PS - Tim Horten's coffee sucks.

There's some sort of Canadian business in Thun on the traffic island on the road just west of the casino, I got the impression it was a restaurant or something when I drove past, I always notice the Canadian flag when I drive past.
