Canadians in Mexico City

Hi everyone,
My name is Vivian Song and I'm a national reporter for Sun Media in Toronto. I'm following up on the swine flu outbreak and am hoping to speak to some Canadian expats living in Mexico City and surrounding area who can tell us what's going on down there.
Is it overblown, like the SARS outbreak in Toronto, or is panic widespread etc.?

Hi Canadians !!!!
My name is Adriana and I'm thinking to move to Mexico to work. I'm nationally from Argentina so I speak 100 % Spanish and English. I have been working as a Administrative assistant for the past 15 years but I'm little nervous because I never been in Mexico before ! I know is crazy but I have this strong feeling that this is my path to move there.
Can somebody give me some website where I can look for a job there or maybe somebody knows or have connection with a company that may have an opening or future opening or just to give me advise or experience living there, I will love to hear from you. Thank you !!!

A quick Google search with "empleos mexico" will give you some websites where you can search, post your resume.
Here is a relatively good one: http://www.occ.com.mx/

Keep in mind, without a work permit, you will not be able to secure a position in Mexico. Also, in your field of specialization, you will find a fierce competition from Mexican nationals. Keep in mind that also salaries for an administrative position are not that high (ranges are from 700 - 2,300/week).

Hi Hazel, I moved here like six months ago, I'm from Vancouver; I'll be here for several months too; waiting for girlfriend to finish a course at her work if ever need something let me know I have a good knowledge of Mexico and also speak Spanish because of my background.
Try to enjoy while you are here, Polanco is a good area my girlfriend works around Costco Polanco, and is also safe; anyways Happy New Year in this New Country and Adventure.

Just found this site and I thought I would post. I moved to Mexico this month and living in Naucalpan. Was looking for a social group or anyone living in the area. My Spanish isn't very strong but looking to improve that while I'm here. If anyone knows of upcoming events, please let me know.
