Canadians in Mexico City

Postby southofbloor » Wed Jun 20, 2007 3:14 pm

Just wondering if there are any other Canadians living in Mexico City. My husband and I just moved here a few weeks ago and I'm hoping to meet some people from back home.

Hey there

I work as a plant manager for a conveyor belting company, My wife is a Mexican national and I have 21 years experience at my job.
American and Canadian company's love for Canadians to relocate to Mexico and work for them in management and technical positions.
There are a few things that really help out in doing this, work experience, knowledge and command of the Spanish language, and ability to totally accept the Mexican culture and lifestyle.
I have met other Canadians living here in different areas of the work force, Technicians, writers, restaurant and bar owners, Canadian government employees, sales and time share people, teachers and professors.
Good luck and give me a ring when you land here.

Hello. My name is Ron and i just recently moved to DF. What part of town do you live in? Are you working here and what do you do? How is your Spanish? I'm starting school in January and live with my girlfriend, a Mexican national. Let me know if you know where to go watch a hockey game

Hi All,

I will be visiting Mexico City for work next week, and would love some pointers, suggestions, etc. I am staying near the WTC - is that a safe area ?

Coming from Toronto, and formerly Montreal.

Thanks !

WTC Area

Postby young&crazy » Thu Sep 04, 2008 3:59 am

Hey Toronto_Montreal

My name is Rob, I live near the WTC, great area of town. Lots of nice restaurants depending on how much you want to spend, not a bad night life either, again depends on your taste, but for the adventurer, there's plenty to do. Enjoy !
