Canadians in South Africa

Hello
I am 47 year old single male who spent the winter in South Africa, I had an amazing time and fell in love with the people... I am thinking aobut going back for a longer stay, 6 months, a year maybe longer... does anyone have any advice for me about how to go about doing this? any visa I may require? and how do I go about becoming an expat?

hi reading through this site has given me butterflies.. all hope is not lost after all, all the scare tactics of having to use a lawyer and bluh bluh bluh. However I have noticed most of the people that have posted here have a background in engineering or finances. I have a MSc in Fisheries Management. What are my chances of getting a job offer and sponsorship from and employer. I have no family who can sponsor me.
