Canadians in York?

just moved to york, north yorkshire about a month ago, from Vancouver Canada. 24 years old, moved here with my english boyfriend. anyone else living here or nearby? it's hard making friends in a new city!

I play baseball aainst 3 teams in the area ad I'm going campoing there in 2 weeks. Can't be an on-site friend, but we can always have a chat and a drink one day.

Well actually currently I am living in Wakefield - about 45mins away from york. My boyfriend goes to school in York. I was originally planning on moving to York but money situation kept me in a smaller city. Next year, in september, I will either be looking at living in York or Leeds.
I am also 24 and am here for my English boyfriend. I'm from Calgary though. Will be going home for the summer.
My friend, who is also from Calgary, and I are hooking up in York this thursday, 25th to do some touring during the day. If you would like to join us then you are sure welcome to! I know sometimes it is great just to hear the Canadian accent again.

Hi! I live in York.have been here since October
2005. I am originally from Toronto. York is pretty but I miss the big city.am probably planning on going back to Uni here though in Oct.if i can sort out the funding so I will be here for awhile! well i'm a 22 year old originally from Ottawa/Halifax who's been living/working in York with my english boyfriend since February, and I was seriously starting to think I was the only Canadian in this little place. I too think York is pretty but I'm finding it small and making friends is next to impossible (I'm an admin for a bunch of investment managers). I'd rather be going to school here but international fees make it out of the question. Maybe a few of us can chat or whatever, seriously, even when I hear Americans around the rail station my ears perk up and I die a little inside!
