Hi guys, Ive been living in Dusseldorf for three months now, coming from London, Ontario. First off, there is not enough hockey here.and BBC gets booring! Anyone in the Ddorf area interested in hanging out? It would just be nice to meet some fellow Canadians and speak RELAXED english.
Also, Im trying to explore Ddorf and its surrounding area, so if anyone knows of some cool places to check out.SHARE!

No way! Im from London too! Finally a fellow Londoner! Very Happy
I know exactly how you feel! You're not alone! What brings you to Germany?
I definitely agree that there isnt enough hockey here, but thats probably because the germans arent too good at it Wink
And I know what you mean when you say that you're bored of BBC, I am too, try switching to CNN, its not much better, but it helps.oh and MTV gets some english shows too, but they're kinda lame, but better than the news Razz
I live in Wiesbaden, thats about 2 hours south. (Like London - Toronto) Wink
And yea, I really want to meet some good old canadians and speak some real english and just hang out a bit, but unfortunately I'm not in the Düsseldorf area.

they had some outdoor nordic ski sprint competition there in dusseldorf this past week/end. its not even cold! they trucked in snow from one of the indoor ski places-pretty funny.
i tell you what, id be happy to get to dusseldorf/essen/koeln area again. you may have been around for it-did you happen to get to 'love parade' in essen?
i was in koeln for about 3 months but now live smack in the middle of the german countryside (fulda).
i head up to eindhoven, holland every now and again, if i hit the area on the weekend il let you know and ill buy you a moosehead Razz
