I'm moving to Rotterdam in a few weeks. I have a Working Holiday visa which will allow me to stay and work there for up to a year.

I've been living in the Netherlands for four years now.just outside Amsterdam. Moved here to be with my Dutch boyfriend (now my husband).

Seems to be gobs more Australians than Canadians here for some reason!

Live right near Tilburg in fact. Interesting to hear of someone retiring to Holland, we're considering returning to Canada, though there's a few obstacles.

This is my second time moving to the Netherlands...I've been back here for a year now and live in Dordrecht this time. The first time I moved here to NL was in '99 and I spent 4 years in R'dam centrum. Funny enuf, being a bit of a net junkie, I never knew this site existed until today. Where did all you Canadians originate from? I come out of the Lindsay/Bowmanville/Belleville, Ontario area (hard to pick one because I'm a bit of a gypsy and move a lot), but have also lived on Isla Margarita in Venezuela and in Aruba.

wow, i only just discovered this site, it's fantastic! ... i've been in the Netherlands since Sep '09, working as an au pair for a family in Almere. it's been amazing so far, everyone i've met has been fantastic ... this is my first experience living abroad but i've lived many different places in Canada (Winnipeg, Moose Jaw, Regina, Victoria, Chilliwack, Toronto, Belleville, and a couple other small army bases)
