Car insurance for importing a USA car to Canada

I work in US and I'm going to move back to Canada. I want to bring my car (registered in US) to Canada but not sure how to arrange car insurance. How can I get the insurance coverage for my car after crossing the border and before getting a Canadian license plate?

You will need to export your car from US, import it to canada before you will be allowed to bring it in. When you bring it in it will be a Cdn car requiring registration and insuarnce, just as if you bought it a Cdn dealer. Insuance comapnies know how to deal wit hthis.
