Hello,
my name is Ben and I am an expatriated Canadian. Living outside Canada has given me a chance to relise how much I truley love our home and native land.
Thats why I find it outragous that our head of state is an un-elected figure head who lives elsewhere. This why I propose we become a republic. I am not the only one who thinks this. There is a group called Citizens for a Canadian Republic, a non partisan group whos goal is to promote discussion about a Canadian republic.
I urge you to check out the website:

Conversely, there is a strong Canadian Monarchist League which supports Canada's long standing constitutional monarchy, which is the very foundation of the country's democatic government, and an integral part of Canada's past and future. The League has been around since 1970 and now has approx 25,000 members in Canada and all over the world. There is also a burgeoning MLC Young Adults group starting up, with more info to come soon.

The main website is at www.monarchist.ca

Thanks,
Gavin
