Well it's just that I live at home with family, going away on WHM visa and I'll be coming home after, so its not like its being sent to strangers!

Well in that case I don't think it makes a difference. If you will be away for a significant length of time, it might be wise to have them open most of your business mail. That way if there is something very important to take care of ASAP they can handle it for you.

I left my address as my parents back in canada. They're good enough to deposit any cheques that come my way. It doesn't matter. I wouldn't worry about it if you're just over here on a WHM visa. If you weren't going back that might be another matter. Smile

Technically you could run into a problem when you get paid in the UK because you will have given a foreign address to HMRC, and when you claim the tax treaty exemption so they remit your PAYE withholding to the CRA it won't match the address on your T1, but I doubt it's a big deal.

Far more important though to actually claim the tax treaty exemption and actually remember to file your T1 while you're away!
