Try Zoom Airlines (I think it's www.flyzoom.com or .ca or something). Or better yet, have a look at Iglu Canada (note, iglu with a "u", not "oo"). They are the cheapest I've found - it's still the Zoom flights, or Thompson Fly, but cheaper than buying directly from Zoom.

I think the prices are generally higher at Christmas anyway, but good luck finding a good deal!

Canadian Affair and Globe Span (Air Transit) are really cheap. I am flying to Vancouver this Christmas with KLM for a reasonable price. Things are getting pricey fast..

Best bet is to go to www.cheapflights.co.uk and search through flights from London to Toronto!!

Hope that has helped

I am going back for the week before Chritmas on Air Canada for £370 (inclusive of taxes). I know that there may be flights for cheaper elsewhere, but aftermy first and only experience with Canadian Affair... I am sticking with AC!

HI Everyone

Sorry to revive this topic, but I have been looking into flight home for sometime late march. I have looked at flyZoom.com, but the price I was seeing are around 80-100 pounds each way!! This seems too cheap to be true!!

So i was wondering if anyone has actually flown with Zoom and can vouch that they don't just strap you to some wheels and tell you to flap your arms Very Happy

Thanks for info!

I haven't flown Zoom yet, but my friend has a few times now, and is very pleased. Of course, it's not quite as plush as BA or Air Canada, but it's apparently a damn sight better than Canadian Affair.

The second time she flew with Zoom she went first class, which was only £40 more round-trip to Toronto, and she said it was fabulous. More leg room, increased baggage allowance, choice of meals and unlimited free alcohol. I'm flying this way when I return home to Vancouver, largely because the baggage allowance is worth the extra money (about £80 more to Vancouver).

i have flown zoom a couple of times now and i find it to be fine. there is a resonable amount of leg room, and the food is edible. the only problem that i found is that they are often delayed by quite a long time, and the reasons are not always explained to you in the nicest or most clear way. but otherwise it's fine. don't be surprised that they are actually old air france planes, you can tell by the seatbelts and signs that are in french, but i just hope they are not REALLY OLD air france planes!
