I am currently staying in Debrecen, Hungary (about 2 hours drive east of Budapest)with my girlfriend and we plan on traveling to Western Europe within the next week. We want to visit as many countries as possible but our 3 top choices are Netherlands, France, and Italy.

While waiting for her to finish writing exams I have been researching Rail Europe travel and I came across a few packages that I was very interested in, they ranged in cost between $500-750 while providing much flexibility and, I had gotten quite excited. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that I had to buy the Rail Pass back while I was still in Canada, and now I am completely lost

Does anyone know a way around this, or other options for cheap travel within Western Europe?
