Common sense

Post Sat Oct 01, 2011 5:22 pm

You would think Canadians would be welcome to stay in the U.S. as long as they are not working without the proper visa . It is a win-win situation for America , Canucks spending money there , helping the economy . With approximately twenty-five million Mexican illegals ( living , working , in jail etc ) they would have more to worry about than harassing the people of the nation that supplies them with our natural resources at rock bottom prices .

Little common sense tells you that not ALL Cdns are honest, law abiding people! And I say that as a proud Canuck! USA is a total different country. I went through a marriage Visa process and I feel if one wants to come here, one should come here legally! If your not a USA citizen, then you have no RIGHT to be here. Just like a person that has no legal status in Canada, has a right to be in Canada.

It's actually tougher for people to migrate to Canada than the US unless it's through marriage/family sponsorship. I don't understand the urgency to migrate to the US when Canada has a plethora of resources for you to live comfortably there.

Rockall, our politicians here are just as stupid as in Canada, if not worse. I've spent some time in Canada and I believe that what Canadians pay in higher taxes, we make up for in the states by having to pay for health insurance and other services that Canadians get for there higher tax rate. The roads and infra structure in Canada are in far better condition than in the states and I have found Canada to be a much cleaner place over all. I have found the real estate prices to be much higher in the states also. The one thing in Canada that I found to be ridiculously overpriced is the alcohol, some items are almost twice as much as what you'd pay in the states.

Other than the weather and the booze prices, Canada is a pretty nice place to live.

People always think the grass is greener on the other side!! Spent most of my life in Canada, 15 yrs in the Cdn Armed Forces and been to many Poverty stricken countries! They would love to be paying our taxes if they could live in Canada, instead of the dirt floor shack they live in! Kids playing in sewage water!! Moved to the USA back in 2004, its oK, buts it is No Canada!! Now in Nicaragua! Wow, talk about poor people and dirt shacks. People need to get their heads out of their butt and see how some of these other people live!!

Flames9 , I have no interest in how people live in Nicaragua . That is the world over , you have to have poor people to have rich people . Stick to the subject please .

It's actually 11 million illegal aliens in the United States in total. 200,000 of them are Canadians. Not high when campared to the six million Mexicans. I did't realize that we "harass Canadians" by having laws similar to Canadian laws. Your "FREE" healthcare is why your taxes are so high, nothing is free. The last I checked, the northern border processes 70 million visitors each year, seems like a pretty open partnership with Canada. I think six month is way more than enough time to visit any country. As far as recieving natural recources at rock bottom prices, your welcome, 75% of Canada's exports go to the United States thus providing Canada with an estimated $500 billion in sales, win-win.

Canadians enjoy more freedoms and benefits in the United States than any other country does. Sorry we don't allow you to just move here, were an awful country.
