Sounds to me that you should qualify just fine for an L1B.

And that's all that matters, from the sounds of it your "lawyer" is spinning things out. I find it very hard to believe you wouldn't get L-1B with evidence of a skilled job with that sort of specialized knowledge.

There's a cast iron way of knowing whether the lawyers are useless, ask them where they're going to send the paperwork to in order to get the visa put in your passport.

If they say the US consulate in Canada they're utterly useless as they should know Canadians don't need a visa.
