Computer Systems Analyst TN Visa Work Experience Requirement

Hey everyone,

Hopefully someone can assist..I know the thread is old and all..

I'm interesting in applying for a TN visa under Computer Systems Analyst. Here are a few question which I hope you guys can help out with.

I have experience and knowledge in other relevant I.T positions, for eg, IT Support Technician, Network Adminstrator and Network Specialist. The roles of all of these positions are some if not most of the same roles a Systems Analyst does. Then again, the roles for a System Analyst vary a large amount from different companies as well...

Would my experience be sufficient enough to apply for this Visa?

Next question..do I register for the TN Visa BEFORE I start applying for jobs in the U.S? What is your experience with finding work...what is the best process to abide by? Do you actually do over the phone interviews to get the job? Do you apply for the Visa after a job is offered?

How do they verify your previous experience? Do they call ALL of your previous employers for reviews?

I am an I/T consultant from Canada.
Currently, I got a job offer from a US recruiter to work as an I/T developer for a US bank.
However, while I have an extensive experience, I have a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from
an Asian Institution. This led to a rejection of my TN visa application due to the education since they're looking for computer science related degrees.
Now, I have my credential evaluated at Univ. of Toronto and got a certificate confirming my education level as a Technologist's diploma in Chem. Eng'g. Will this be sufficient enough to take care of the education issue.

Also, my letter of employment is showing the position as I/T developer.
Should it be changed to Computer System Analyst?

Do you think all of the above (degree and leeter) will ensure the approval of my tn visa application?
Do I need to get more proof of experience and education to strenghten my case?

You are probably still facing rejestion, since a Technologist still doesn't cover IT.
I?T developer is also not CSA.

Your only real shot for TN is as a Chem Engineer.
Your experinece really doesn't matter. Your education restricts you the Enginnering.
